  • Speaker Bio

    Tonia Johnson is an expert in perioperative nursing with more than 25 years of experience in a variety of roles including clinical manager, senior, professional development specialist, clinical nurse specialist, charge nurse, and education coordinator.  Currently, she is the Clinical Nurse Specialist for Perioperative Services, Gastrointestinal, Interventional Radiology, and the Acute Pain Service at a Level One Trauma Center in Washington, DC.  In this role, she provides consultative recommendations on standards of practice, regulatory readiness, policy, and safe practice.  Tonia has been with Nurse Builders since 2019 as a perioperative nursing expert.  In her role as faculty and speaker, she provides CE and certification review course content both in live and e-learning formats.
