    Rachel Start, director of Ambulatory Nursing, Nursing Practice and Magnet Performance at Rush Oak Park Hospital, will discuss the role that has emerged related to the ambulatory nurse in the last several years, specifically where care coordination, population health, management of social determinants are concerned. She will be joined by Nancy May, chief nurse executive at the University of Michigan Medicine, to cover how these unique competencies and skills positioned ambulatory nurses to be well prepared for rapid and effective change to meet the demands of the COVID 19 Pandemic. This discussion includes current issues, challenges and concerns relative to the ambulatory nursing practice environment and the continuing COVID 19 Crisis. Rachel has also served as the co-chair of the American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing (AAACN) Nurse Sensitive Indicator Taskforce.
