SPEAKER BIO
Livia Restrepo, MSN-Ed, RN, NPD-BC, CPEN, is a seasoned nursing professional development specialist with almost a decade of experience in nursing professional development at the unit, hospital, regional, and system levels, as well as in academic clinical instruction. Throughout her career, Livia has served as a preceptor, clinical adjunct faculty member, and NPD Specialist. Her experience in supporting the professional growth of nurses is broad, as she has led numerous projects and programs fulfilling the NPD roles, including curriculum development and coordination of a nurse residency program for a large health system, contribution to specialty nursing internships, facilitation of student placement, preceptor development, and coordination of system-wide patient education initiatives. Livia has extensive experience in classroom instruction where she embraces innovative teaching methods and in project and program management, navigating change and team building. In this NPD review course, Livia brings practical insights and information, along with a genuine desire to elevate attendee’s NPD practice and support their journey to certification.
